The Family Prayer Center exists for the purpose of exalting Jesus Christ and His finished work. In a world focused on various forms of behaviour modification, FPC believes that Christ's perfect sacrifice is the answer to man's dilemma. People will never be able to attain any form of true feedom by their own strength. Many people believe that they are to "try harder" or "press in more." That is self effort, Jesus's way is a fight from freedom not for freedom.
It is right believing that produces right living; not the other way around. The more a person looks to Jesus, the more they effortlessly change! "As He is so am I in this world." I John 4:17 As believers, our one work is to behold His finished work. By continually hearing of the accomplishments of Christ we are equipped to enter into the rest He has provided. Unfortunately, the vast majority of the body of Christ has self effort replacing the rest of faith. Self effort is our attempts to fix ourselves or our situations by trying harder or pressing in more. Our only fight is to labor to rest! (Heb. 4:11)
