This Week...
Make no mistake about it, Jesus is our King! His is a King of kings (Rev. 19:16) Because of His finished work on the cross, believers are now in right standing and favor with God. (Rom. 5:1 & 17) While this is true there is “an adversary that goes about as a roaring lion….” – to convince us that God (Jesus the lion of the tribe of Judah) is mad at us. (I Pet. 5:8)“…seeking whom he may devour.” Those that believe his lies become susceptible to his ploys. Proverbs 19:12 states as follows: “The king’s wrath is as the roaring of a lion’s, but His favor is as dew upon the grass” The enemy goes about roaring in an attempt to cause you to believe it is the King (Jesus): roaring in displeasure. The reality is a constant flowing of favor because of Jesus!
