This Week...
"And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins: But this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right of God;" (Hebrews 10:11,12)
Notice first the words "standeth daily" then take note of the phrase "sat down".
The Old Testament priest had to stand daily when offering the sacrifices the law required. There was no place for the priest to sit down in the Old Testament temple.

But why?
The reason for this was because that under the old covenant the work was never finished. And because the work was never finished there was always a sin conscienceness. But Jesus, after He had offered the One Sacrifice of Himself on the cross sat down.(see Hebrews10:14)

Why did He sit down? Because His work was finished. The sin problem had been dealt with. This means that as a believer you can approach God as your Father realizing that Jesus is sitting down on your behalf and you are seated with Him. (see Ephesians 2:6) More on this next week. You are Blessed.
