"Hebrews chapter three; verse one states: " Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of
the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ
Jesus;" The Greek word for "consider" in this verse is "katanoeo" and is defined as
follows: " to put the mind down on a thing, to fix the mind on something, to consider."
The word for "profession" has to do with the words spoken or prayer prayed. There is a teaching that puts the focus of this verse on the profession. The actual
emphasis spoken of here is not on the words being spoken but on Jesus the
Apostle and High Priest of that confession. He is the One who takes the words we speak in prayer and presents them to the Father in the total perfection of Who He is. WOW. So make sure that your faith is set upon Him. This IS praying in the name of JESUS."
