Why is change so hard? This is the question asked by many people (including
Christians.) Change is difficult to impossible if one does not change the way that
they think. All too often people desire the benefits of change without changing the
way that they think.
A person's actions are based upon the way in which they think. Romans 12:2
states: "...that a Christian is not to be conformed to this world, but to be transformed
by the renewing of the mind (ie. changing one's thoughts.) {Pharaphrased}
The New Testament Greek word for repent or repentance is a word that actually
means "change your mind." So be encouraged that as you change your thoughts for
God's thoughts (ie. His Word) positive change will manifest. You are blessed and
equipped because of Jesus.
