This Week...
There is a lot of talk in the body of Christ today about how God has marked a day on His (Gregorian) calender to bless His people. He has set His watch, He is doing a new thing, etc. These are statements that are often heard today. The truth be told, all of God's blessings are fully contained in the finished work of Jesus Christ. The day that God has blessed is the day in which we live, regardless which day of the week it is or what date it may happen to be.
Gal. 4:10 warns of New Testament Christians observing days, months, times, and years. They do not realize that Jesus is the fulfillment of everything the Old Testament feast days, Sabbaths, etc. pointed to. (See Col. 2:16, 17)
This is the day of the New Birth, so believe and rejoice in the finished work of Christ Jesus. (See Ps. 118:19-24) It is not about getting God to do something, but believing that He has already done everything in Jesus.
This is good news!
