This Week...
Romans 8:15 reads as follows:"For you have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but you have received the Spirit of Adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father."
Notice the word "again." When did we orginally have the spirit of fear? Before we accepted Jesus as our personal Saviour.
Even though as a believer we are no longer in bondage to a spirit of fear one can still operate in fear based living. Without an active faith in the finished work of Christ at the Cross one will conduct life with the fear of not measuring up or getting what they deserve.
The Truth is that a believer is to simply realize that they do not receive what they deserve but what Jesus deserves. Jesus took all the punishment that our bad deserved at the Cross and we receive all the good His perfection deserves.Wow
So continue to renew your mind to this awesume reality of the finished work of the cross. You are Blessed.
