This Week...
The Word of God declares that believers are to be: " Looking unto Jesus the Author and Finisher of our faith..." (Hebrews 12:2) In other words we are to look to Him and away from all distractions.
This is the fight to keep our focus resting in Him.He is our Mercy Seat.
Through out the Old Testament this is pictured in the fact that the children of Israel where to rest facing the mercy seat with there backs to the enemy.
To often we teach God's people to face their enemies and turn their backs to the Mercy Seat in Christ when the opposite is the way to operate.
If we face Him and His finished work He will take care of our enemies.(see 1Cor.2:2)
Remember guard your heart with the peace he provides and He will guard the rest.
